That's generally how I feel writing bios. There's a fine balance between listing your credentials and bragging, isn't there? The long and short of it is, I’m a photographer. But also a content creator, magic maker + natural light lover based in the PNW.
My background is in both journalism and marketing, so I know how to tell a compelling narrative through photos. That's what I'm doing when I photograph your wedding or family - I'm capturing a moment in time and telling that story through my lens.
Because of my journalism background, I consider myself to be a documentary photographer. I capture all those small moments, like grandma squeezing cheeks or a kiddo poking his head out through a cracked door. But I'm also adept at posing and helping you look your very best.
Most importantly, I love what I do. I can't believe that I'm fortunate enough to take photos every day and follow my passion wholeheartedly. When I'm not photographing wonderful people, I'm capturing product and places for brands like Eddie Bauer, NEMO Equipment, Good + Well Supply Co. and more. On a personal level, I live in Palmer, AK with on an off-grid homestead with my family. I love a good IPA or glass of Sauvigon Blanc, and Earl Grey will forever be my favorite cup of tea. I happen to love video games (Fallout 4 + Red Dead ftw) but I also love getting outside for a long backpack or day hike. If it wasn't obvious from my quote choice, I have a deep obsession with The Office and have seen every season about 13 times. This is a shame-free zone. Most of all, I have a love for life and try to live and love deeply and fully. It's too short not to!
