McMenamins Edgefield Wedding : Adam + Kaylie

This summer has brought me to Edgefield two times, both for concerts. But the third and most fabulous time was to photograph Adam and Kaylie’s wedding.

I met these two when I lived in Skagway, Alaska. It’s home to gorgeous mountains, historical street fronts and some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Adam and Kaylie are two of those loving folks. So when they asked me to photograph their wedding, I jumped at the chance.

I first photographed Adam and Kaylie in Alaska, where we drove into the Yukon to take their engagement photos. It was a gorgeous sunny day, filled with blue skies and a whole lot of love. Our weekend at Edgefield was very much the same – the fall colors were in full bloom and the skies opened up with sunshine.

I’ve heard McMenamins described as a summer camp for adults. Alongside its many rooms, Edgefield has restaurants, fire pits, bars, distilleries, wineries, spas… I could go on. In short, it is an ideal location for a wedding. And with such a big group joining in the celebration, it was perfect for Adam and Kaylie.

It was such a pleasure to revisit this couple on the day of their wedding, and to be surrounded by the love of a community I will always hold dear. I can’t wait to see where you next adventure takes you!
