I grew up on a big piece of land with a bunch of animals always wandering around. My dad raised me single-handedly after my mom passed away. It was unconventional, but I had an amazing childhood.

Photographing Jeffrey and Rosetta today brought back memories of growing up. It’s so great to see the love they have for one another. Single parents are powerful, courageous and full of so much love. I am so lucky to have the best dad in the world, and it looks like Rosetta sure feels the same way about her beautiful mama. Thanks for opening up your house to me, ladies! Give Mavis a kiss for me.
